Educational Visits
At St John's C of E Primary School, we aim to give our children a rich, varied and broad curriculum which offers children opportunities to deepen knowledge to a mastery level.
Each half term, year groups either have a visitor come into the school or take part in a visit out of school. These trips add value to the children's education and excite them even further with their learning.
The school will only ask parents for maximum contribution of £51 per child for all visits throughout the year. Click on your child's year group to view their upcoming trips and associated costs.
If you are from a low income family, the school are able to gain access to grants to help fund part or all of the cost. Please book an appointment to see Mrs Fyson, Headteacher, for more information.
Consent is collected for all trips at the beginning of the year but information will be sent to parents two weeks before a trip to give further details and chase for payments.
If you are using our online payment system, Parentpay, parents have the opportunity to contribute towards trips on a monthly or ad-hock basis.
At St John's we also give the children the opportunity to attend residential trips. In Year 4 we take the children to PGL which is mid week Wednesday - Friday and in Year 6 they have a week long trip to Isle of Wight
